Join Us Today!

Rehearsals take place on Wednesdays from 5:30pm - 7pm at MIT’s Edward & Joyce Linde Music Building (W18) located at 201 Amherst Street, Cambridge, MA. A light snack is provided to students at the start of rehearsal and families can arrive as early as 5pm.

Join us on the first Wednesday of every month to try out a class for free! Can’t make it? Email us at cambridgeyouthgamelan@gmail.com to set up a visit on another date.

    Our fall session will run from Wednesday, September 9 to Wednesday, November 18 for a total of 10 classes.

FAQs

  • This group is open to children in grades 2 - 12. We are an inclusive and welcoming community. No prior musical experience is necessary and beginners are encouraged to join and try something new!

  • Registration information for the fall, winter, spring, and summer sessions is announced several months in advance so you are able to plan your child's after school commitments as early as possible. You will always receive an email from us with information on how to register but you can always check back here regularly to find out information about upcoming rehearsals, performances, and workshops.

  • All of our rehearsals take place in the Edward & Joyce Linde Music Building, Building 18 (201 Amherst Street, Cambridge, MA 02139) at MIT.

  • Session fees vary depending on the length of the session. The per class fee is $12 and families can select to be billed monthly or by session on the registration form.
